Scientific researchers have also linked use of marijuana to mental problems such as anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. In other words, it causes mental disorganization and one stops his or her normal way of life. People can isolate them especially if one is addicted to this drug due to their improper behaviors. The use of marijuana therefore would result in a disintegrated society where unity for common good is not achievable. Those who abuse marijuana are also associated with various crimes such as robbery with violence.
In conclusion, legalization of marijuana would not be a good idea in the society. Those who use it for medical purposes such as health centers can be given license to use plant and use it for such purpose only and within the premise of the hospital or the health center. These would minimize its abuse by the rest of the population. Making it illegal drug has reduced chances of the youth involvement in its use and that’s why the society can still boast of well behaved youths who are focused on building a better future.
