Shakira was born and raised in Barranquilla, northern Colombia. Shakira is the only baby of William Chadid and Nidia Ripoll. Her parents were born in New York after her grandparents migrated from Lebanon. Because of her mother, Shakira inherited Castilian, Catalan and an Italian descent. After four years, she released two projects albums. Both albums benefit on her success and her song "Hips Don't Lie" became the best song of 2000s. In 1997, she formed a foundation with specific school for poor children around Colombia. Shakira during her career fulfilled a great number of benefit performances.

Shakira won several awards, such as Hollywood walk of Fame, five music awards of MTV video, two awards of Grammy, eight awards of Latin Grammy, seven awards of billboard music, twenty-eight awards of Latin billboard music and has been nominated as golden globe. Shakira is the greatest Colombian selling artist ever and the most successful singer in whole Latin. There is another album that Shakira succeed with, called “Waka Waka.” This album goes with no comparison with any other singer’s albums since it was chosen to be an official song for the Fifa 2010.

“Waka Waka” received many positive critics, as compare to any other album and become the hit all over the world. In 2010, Shakira remembered about her Latin production and released album called “Sale el Sol”, which made her regain her intended form of music back (Williams, 2010).
Shakira’s her musical career must have suffered a relationship that is strained from her epic records of label. This relationship hindered from not investing, being promoted from the record of epic.
